Officers of the Armed Forces

Æfira has been at peace since its founding, and the armed services have never been engaged in combat or called upon to defend the country. Naval and military forces are maintained solely for ceremonial purposes. The Sovereign serves as commander-in-chief of the Æfiran armed forces, and officers hold their commissions from him.
