His Majesty’s Stationery Office
The Most Noble Order of the Phoenix was established on 15 September 2008 as the highest Æfiran order of chivalry and the pinnacle of the honors system. It is conferred by the Sovereign upon “eminent and worthy persons having rendered extraordinary service to the Realm or to humanity”. Recipients are known as Knights (male) or Ladies (female) of the Phoenix. Like all knighthoods, membership in the Order is a personal – not hereditary – honor.
There are currently no Knights or Ladies of the Phoenix.
