The House of Commons

The House of Commons, together with the Sovereign and the House of Lords, constitutes the Parliament of Æfira. Its primary functions are to scrutinize the Government and to propose, debate and vote on bills; no law can be enacted without the approval of the House.

Members of the House of Commons (known as Members of Parliament) are the elected representatives of all Æfiran citizens, other than the monarch and members of the House of Lords. Under the Representation of the People Act 2009, M.P.s are elected by means of the single transferable vote system.
